Saudi Arabia Participates in JOTA, JOTI, Largest Digital Scouting Events
The Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association (SABSA) is currently participating in the Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
JOTA and JOTI represent the largest digital scouting events worldwide, that take place via the internet and airwaves.
Saudi scouts have connected with other scouts around the world through SABSA’s main center in Riyadh.
Other connections include scouting stations and personal smart devices with various types of communication methods such as audio, digital format, and even Morse code.

Scheduled to take place from October 18 to October 20, the event marks a valuable opportunity to highlights the Kingdom’s pivotal role in achieving the UN sustainable development goals.
Moreover, they reviewed Saudi Arabia’s initiatives and programs to develop societies and communities.
The first day of the event featured remarks about the significance of the camp by World Scout Committee Chairman Daniël Corsen.
In the same context, Saudi scouts took part in a live broadcast by the World Scout Bureau in Kuala Lumpur and engaged in exciting activities, including AI development.
They also discussed how to develop cutting-edge technologies to make a real difference and improve people’s life on the planet.
