Saudi Arabia inaugurated its pavilion in the Beijing International Book Fair 2024 on Wednesday as a guest of honor for this year’s session, reported Al Arabiya. The fair will be held from June 19 to 23 in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

The Saudi participation is led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, with the participation of a group of cultural entities represented by the Heritage Authority, the Culinary Arts Authority, in addition to the Ministry of Investment.

The Kingdom’s pavilion will witness, for five days, a diverse cultural program that includes seminars and dialogue sessions evoking Saudi culture, in addition to seminars on Arabic language and methods of teaching it to non-native speakers.

The pavilion includes a special display of books, manuscripts and artifacts discovered in the Kingdom, and a live performance of traditional performing arts. A special night will also be held for a Saudi dinner that includes Saudi performing arts.

In addition to the pavilion’s activities, there will be a special display of a variety of Saudi fashions, and a corner for the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China. The pavilion also allocates corners for partners of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority from the various centers and associations that form part of the Saudi cultural system.
