Saudi Arabia will take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025, taking place in Davos, Switzerland, from January 20-24, 2025.
This participation is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to drive regional and international stability through its presence at global forums. Its long journey has seen multiple achievements, agreements, partnerships and initiatives across various sectors.
WEF Annual Meeting 2025
Under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 will gather global leaders to address pressing global and regional challenges. These include tackling geopolitical shocks, promoting growth to improve living standards, and leading a just and inclusive energy transition.
The 55th WEF Annual Meeting will serve as a trusted platform for dialogue and cooperation among world leaders, seek to foster a connection in an era of complexity, and be future-oriented in terms of insights and solutions. It will be centered around 5 key themes: Rebuilding Trust; Reimagining Growth; Investing in People; Safeguarding the Planet; and Industries in the Intelligent Age.
The meeting will bring together representatives from over 100 governments, leading international organizations, and more than 1,000 private sector stakeholders, as well as young changemakers and representatives from civil society and academic institutions.
High-level Delegation
Saudi Arabia will participate in the WEF Annual Meeting 2025 with a high-level delegation, led by the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During its participation, the Kingdom’s delegation will focus on fostering collaboration with leaders from governments, the private sector, civil society and academia to address the pressing global challenges and pave the way for a more prosperous future.
Furthermore, the Saudi delegation will explore opportunities to advance innovation, unlock human potential, and drive sustainable transition. It will also share experiences from the Kingdom’s transformation journey under Vision 2030, and foster global dialogue.
In addition to the Saudi Foreign Minister, the Kingdom’s delegation will include several Saudi ministers, such as Minister of Commerce, Majid Al-Kassabi; Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb; and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy, Adel Al-Jubeir.
It will also include Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih; Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan; Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha; Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, and Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Alibrahim.
Leading Innovation and AI Technologies
In the light of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the WEF Annual Meeting 2025, the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha, spotlighted the Kingdom’s vital role in leading the global agenda to bolster the digital economy, drive innovation, and harness artificial intelligence (AI) for the benefit of humanity and the planet.
He added that Saudi Arabia’s participation in the meeting underscores its leadership in advancing global efforts to foster innovation and AI, as the world is transforming from the digital age to the AI age.
Moreover, Al-Swaha said that such high-level gatherings act as a global platform to showcase the Kingdom’s achievements across the developmental economic, and technological sectors under its transformative Vision 2030.
He also highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to collaborate with the international community to utilize AI in advancing sustainable development, improving the quality of life, boosting the digital economy, and creating new job opportunities.

The Kingdom announced it will participate at the WEF Annual Meeting 2025 through the first-ever Saudi House pavilion, hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning. The Saudi House pavilion will host several industry-leading entities from across the Kingdom to engage in sessions on various topics, including the future of global economy, trade and logistics, investment, aviation, and sustainable tourism.
Saudi Arabia’s Leadership at WEF Annual Meetings
Saudi Arabia boasts a long-standing partnership with the WEF, led by the Ministry of Economy and Planning. Throughout its participations, the Kingdom has made tireless efforts to support regional and international stability, particularly in energy markets. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia has sought to emerge as a global leader in the production of clean energy through the framework of the circular carbon economy.
From 2018 to 2024, Saudi Arabia has signed numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) at the WEF Annual Meetings and joined several global initiatives, in line with Vision 2030.
In April 2024, the Kingdom hosted the WEF Special Meeting in Riyadh, under the patronage of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, to discuss sustainable development solutions.
During the Special Meeting, the Crown Prince took part in a dialogue session discussing the pressing geopolitical and economic challenges. The session also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role in fostering international cooperation and driving regional growth.
