Saudi Participation at WEF Advances AI Technologies, Alswaha Says

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, has highlighted the Kingdom’s pivotal role in leading the global agenda to boost the digital economy, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The minister has emphasized Saudi Arabia’s crucial efforts to enhance innovation and employ artificial intelligence to serve humanity and protect our planet.
Therefore, the Kingdom has gained a remarkable position among other countries as one of the most prestigious destinations in pioneering digital economy.
Alswaha noted that such bold strides were primarily driven by the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Apart from this, the minister indicated that the Kingdom’s participation at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos come at a critical time as the world is turning from the digital age to the AI age.
Set to take place from 20 to 24, the WEF will shed light on the Kingdom’s crucial role in leading global efforts to promote innovation.
Alswaha mentioned that Saudi Arabia is currently collaborating with the international community to position AI as a major tool for elevating sustainable development and fulfilling global goals.
Moreover, he added that these efforts seek to improve quality of life, boost the digital economy, and create new job opportunities across various sectors.
