Saudi Arabia Issues New Salary Scale for Engineers to Motivate Workplace

Saudi Arabia has announced official approval for a new salary scale for engineers to boost the engineering sector across the Kingdom, Gulf News reported.

Set to go into effect on December 31, the salary scale was approved by the Cabinet at a meeting led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman headed in Riyadh on Tuesday.

Crucially, the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources stated that the new pay scale targets engineering employees of government agencies in accordance with the unified Saudi classification of professions and who obtain a bachelor’s degree in one of the engineering specializations from Saudi or other recognized universities.

Commenting on the issuance, the Saudi Minister of Human Resources Ahmed Al Rajhi said in an X post: ” This will be supportive and empowering for engineering personnel in the government sector.”

Experts believe that the new salary scale will create an attractive and motivating work environment for engineering professionals in the government sector and further foster engineers’ professional practice.

It is worth mentioning that related regulations shed light on the bonuses and the conditions for promotions and job benefits.
