Recognizing Excellence in Environmental Practices
Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, is awarding the Kingdom’s Environmental Management Award in the Islamic World to 21 individuals and organizations from 18 Islamic countries. These awards, distributed across four categories, celebrate the notable accomplishments and innovative practices in environmental research, sustainable development activities, women’s pioneering efforts in environmental work, and the development of green Islamic cities.
Heading 3: Nurturing Sustainable Development Across Generations
Minister Al-Fadley has expressed gratitude to King Salman for sponsoring the conference and the Kingdom’s award for Environmental Management in the Islamic World. The award not only encourages enhanced environmental cooperation in the Islamic world but also symbolizes an openness to global experiences in environmental conservation. Furthermore, it signifies a commitment to safeguarding resources and championing sustainable development issues to ensure a balanced synergy between environmental and socio-economic development, geared towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
The Kingdom’s award for Environmental Management in Islamic countries remains pivotal in underlining the necessity of embedding a comprehensive concept of environment and sustainable development, elevating the quality of life, and fostering innovative solutions for present and forthcoming environmental challenges on national, regional, and global levels.
