Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Massacres Against Palestinians

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli massacres against Palestinian people.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed Saudi Arabia’s “condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the continued genocidal massacres against the Palestinian people at the hands of the Israeli war machine, the latest of which is the targeting of displaced Palestinian camps in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated the call for an immediate ceasefire. The statement said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia “renews its call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and the provision of protection to unarmed civilians in all occupied Palestinian territories.”

Moreover, the Kingdom “stresses the need to activate international accountability mechanisms regarding the continued Israeli violations of international humanitarian law and resolutions,” the statement added.

The Gaza Health Ministry said on Saturday that an Israeli airstrike that targeted Al Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, killed at least 91 Palestinians and injured 300, including women and children.

Al Mawasi area is a designated humanitarian zone that the Israeli military has repeatedly urged Palestinians to head to after issuing evacuation orders from other areas. Israel said that the strike targeted Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, reported Reuters.
