The Saudi National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast thunderstorms on Sunday, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall, with a risk of flash floods and hail.
Strong winds are expected to stir up dust and debris across parts of the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Qassim, and Hail regions, extending into the northern areas of the Eastern Province.
Lighter to moderate rainfall is also anticipated in parts of Najran, Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha.
The NCM reports that surface winds over the Red Sea will blow from the southeast to southwest at speeds of 15–35 km/h, reaching over 50 km/h in areas experiencing thunderstorms.
Wave heights will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, potentially exceeding 2 meters near storm formations in the central region. The sea will be light to moderate, becoming rough with thunderstorm activity.
In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will vary: northwesterly to northeasterly in the northern part, and southeasterly to easterly in the southern part, with speeds between 15–35 km/h.
Waves are expected to range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, with overall sea conditions remaining light to moderate.
