The Saudi Air Navigation Services Company and the British company NATS have signed a cooperation agreement to enhance airport capacity.
This agreement supports their shared goals and aligns with the Saudi Air Navigation Services Company’s strategy to prepare and expand Saudi airspace.
The Saudi aviation sector was represented by its CEO, Engineer Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Zaid, while NATS was represented by its CEO, Martin Rolfe, at the signing.
The CEO of Saudi Air Navigation Services confirmed the company’s commitment to forming strategic partnerships with global companies. Additionally, they aim to expand their partnership scope to support Vision 2030, meet the National Aviation Strategy goals, and accommodate the rising number of passengers.
He said the Air Navigation Services Company is working to increase runway capacity to meet the growing air traffic and passenger demands at the Kingdom’s airports. The runway capacity, increased by 46% last year, seeks to achieve a 100% increase by 2030. Moreover, this expansion is crucial for accommodating new flight routes and schedules.
The company is also investing in advanced technology to enhance air traffic management. These efforts aim to position the Kingdom as a leading aviation hub in the region.
