The Riyadh region has emerged as a vibrant hub for cultural and entertainment activities this winter, welcoming over 15.1 million visitors from across the Kingdom and abroad by the end of the third quarter, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The influx stands as a testament to the capital’s rising position as an attractive center for both commerce and leisure, offering a perfect option for investors, entrepreneurs, and tourists.
The Saudi Ministry of Tourism data revealed that overall visitor spending increased to approximately SR33 billion during the same period, driven by both domestic and international travelers.
The figures reflect the effective economic impact of Riyadh’s tourism boom in the region.
Ministry data also showed an 18% rise in total tourist spending compared to the previous period. This rise was fueled by the expansion of cultural events and tourism activities, as well as remarkable development and investments in infrastructure, hospitality, and entertainment.
This performance mirrors Riyadh’s broader strategy to boost urban tourism, particularly as seasonal festivals and entertainment experiences are steadily strengthening the capital’s standing as a global destination.
Additionally, this success is further invigorating the local economy and encouraging growth of tourism‑related sectors.
