Ramadan: Ready meals distributed in the Two Holy Mosques this year
The affairs of the Two Holy mosques decided to keep the suspension of Iftar meal gatherings and provide individual ready breakfast meals for those heading to the Grand Mosque instead. The decision comes in cooperation with the Emirate of Makkah, represented by the Watering and Welfare Committee.
Additionally, there is no distribution of suhoor meals and entry is not allowed.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, in cooperation with the Watering and Affection Committee, distributes several Iftar meals to the worshipers, pilgrims and workers at the Grand Mosque.
Mr Khaled bin Fahd Al-Shalawi, Director General of the General Administration for the Coordination of Voluntary Work added: “ (..) the distribution process took into account the precautionary measures and preventive measures by working to avoid crowds. The meals contain dates, a muzzle and a sterile tissue.”.
