Prince of Najran Region inaugurates Najran National Citrus Festival

Jalawi bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Najran Region inaugurated Najran National Citrus Festival. It marks a significant cultural and agricultural event in Saudi Arabia,according to Saudi Press Agency.

Held on December 14-16 at Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Park in Aba Al-Rashaash, this 13th edition of the Najran National Citrus Festival is organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture’s regional branch.

Exhibitions, Attractions

The festival showcases a variety of exhibitions and attractions, reflecting the rich agricultural heritage of the region. The Prince himself inaugurated an accompanying exhibition, which includes diverse sections.

Festival Features

These sections feature agricultural guidance wings and there is a sample testing laboratory.

Additionally, there are horticulture research centers, all of which receive contributions from Najran University and the General Organization for Technical Training.

Contributions, Participants

The Green Najran Association, along with government and private sectors, is prominently featured in the festival. Firstly, it spotlights agricultural producers, showcasing citrus, honey, dates, and community initiatives. Furthermore, along with craft exhibitions, these elements align with the event’s themes.

Lastly, the festival serves as a platform for promoting local talents and products.

Recognition Ceremony

In a special recognition ceremony, His Highness Prince Jalawi honored the various organizations, institutions, and individuals who have actively participated in the festival’s activities.

This ceremony highlights the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in promoting the region’s agricultural wealth and cultural traditions.

Finally, The festival does not only serve as a platform for showcasing Najran’s rich agricultural produce but also fosters community engagement and celebrates the region’s unique heritage and contributions to the agricultural sector.
