Mourinho Nears Move to Saudi League, 3 Teams Vying for Portuguese Coach

Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is on the cusp of joining the Saudi League. Three teams reportedly are vying to secure the services of the 61-year-old tactician next summer, as per a report in the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.

According to the Saudi publication, Al Qadsiah FC, a recently promoted team in the Professionals League, is actively pursuing Mourinho to join their ranks.

The club, which is currently owned by Saudi Arabian Oil Group Aramco, holds a significant position in the Kingdom as one of its historic teams.

The renowned coach Mourinho has been without a team since his departure from Roma in January.

Following his exit from the Italian club, Mourinho has expressed his strong but somewhat fanciful desire to be given a second chance as the manager of the Red Devils to confidants.

Mourinho’s managerial journey has seen him helm esteemed clubs such as Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.

During his tenure at Manchester United, he was dismissed in December 2018, culminating a mixed two-and-a-half-season spell that yielded three trophies but failed to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title.

Presently, Mourinho is attending a boxing event in Saudi Arabia where he is reportedly engaged in discussions for a potential new deal with Saudi teams.
