“Mawhiba” Discusses Development of National Talent

Today, King Abdulaziz Foundation for talent and Creativity “Mawhiba”, in cooperation with the Research, Development Authority, held a dialogue session to discuss national talent development.

The advisor for research, development and innovation, Nadia Al-Aidaroos, and the head of the Research Partnerships Department, Dr. Bodour Al-Ghamdi, participated in the session. Private Sector and Entrepreneurship Advisor at the Research, Development and Innovation Development Authority, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jadaan, moderated the session.

The session aimed to shed light on national priorities for research, development and innovation. It was based on four main priorities: human health, environmental sustainability and basic needs.

Furthermore, participants explained that research and innovation is an experience to advance sustainable development and build a better future for the country. They pointed out that scholarship has many benefits. Scholarship increases the practical and professional experiences of young men and women and gives them technical and field experience.

Accordingly, scholarship contributes to achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by achieving a high level of academic qualification for male and female students. It also contributes to building a vibrant society by developing the skills of students in the fields of environment, agriculture, and health. In the end, participants stated that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 aims to develop all fields.

 

Mawhiba Vision

Mawhiba aims to discover and nurture talented and gifted people in scientific fields.  It also seeks to contribute to build a model system for talent and creativity locally, regionally and globally. It aims to Empower talent and creativity as they are the main source of human prosperity.

In addition, it seeks to create an environment that stimulates talent and creativity and effectively achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.  The vision focuses on investing in human capabilities and empower them in various fields.​
