Today, KSA minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, discussed Saudi Vision 2030 and its impact on economic growth during the Saudi Financial Market Forum 2024 in Riyadh.
Saudi Vision 2030
Saudi Vision 2030 aims to achieve a vibrant society and a prosperous economy, by providing an environment suitable for growth. In addition, it aims to provide job opportunities for citizens, nurture talent and develop investments. As a result, the Kingdom has provided an attractive, competitive environment to build a leading global economy that promotes entrepreneurship.
Since the launch of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia has succeeded in implementing many initiatives and structural reforms to enable economic transformation. This transformation included several major efforts centered around enhancing local content, national industry, launching and developing promising economic sectors.
In addition, Saudi Vision 2030 has contributed to enhancing the sustainability of public finances. The vision has raised the efficiency of government spending on capital projects and operating expenditures, and in diversifying sources of income for the government.
Saudi Vision 2030 and its initiatives have also laid the foundations for the economic transformation of the Kingdom. It is expected that in the coming years the Saudi economy will witness a remarkable increase in economic growth.
Economic Growth in KSA
Saudi Arabia’s economy has witnessed a growth in a large number of sectors. This growth resulted in building a solid economic base. KSA economy has become one of the twenty largest global economies. As a result, Saudi Arabia is considered as one of the main players in the global oil markets.
In order to develop and diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil, Saudi Arabia has launched several economic and financial reforms. Furthermore, KSA aims to transform the structure of the Saudi economy into a diversified and sustainable economy.
