
The Saudi Ports Authority “Mawani” has announced a new maritime shipping service, “ECRC,” by Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) to the Islamic Port of Jeddah.

This service which boosts global connectivity, underscores the port’s growing competitive edge, and highlights its operational efficiency. It facilitates faster shipping times, enhancing trade opportunities. Additionally, it supports regional economic growth by attracting more international business.
This is part of the “Ports” strategy to improve global market connections, aligned with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. The aim is to make the Kingdom a global logistics hub and key link between continents and to enhance Jeddah Islamic Port’s ranking to the top 10 ports worldwide.

The new shipping service aims to connect the Port of Jeddah Islamic with the ports of Ningbo, Xiamen, and Nansha in China, as well as Klang in Malaysia, Aqaba in Jordan, and Sokhna in Egypt, through regular bi-weekly trips.
