Made In Saudi: HP Fuels Kingdom’s Growth with Strategic Investments

American tech leader HP announced major investments at LEAP 2025 on Sunday to accelerate Saudi Arabia’s tech growth under Vision 2030. The plan includes a Riyadh manufacturing facility and a Dhahran AI Center of Excellence (CoE), boosting innovation for regional businesses.

Strengthening Local Manufacturing with “Made in Saudi”

HP will build a Riyadh manufacturing facility, aligning with the “Made in Saudi” initiative to enhance customization and reliability. The hub leverages Saudi Arabia’s strategic location bridging Asia, Europe, and Africa for efficient global distribution. This project aims to create thousands of jobs by 2027 while meeting rising demand for tech in the Kingdom’s digital economy.

HP’s new Dhahran AI CoE will develop cutting-edge solutions for industries like healthcare and smart cities. The center focuses on robotic automation, data analysis, and decision-making tools to empower Saudi businesses. It will also attract global talent, offer training programs, and collaborate with HP’s global AI experts to drive economic growth.

Saudi Arabia’s Potential is Limitless

HP CEO Enrique Lores emphasized the Kingdom’s transformative potential, stating, “Our investments in AI, education, and manufacturing will expand HP’s global reach while fueling regional innovation.” He highlighted HP’s commitment to upskilling youth and fostering a tech-driven economy.

HP launched programs to upskill Saudi youth, supporting Vision 2030’s education goals. Initiatives like the HP Cambridge EdTech Fellowship and HP IDEA aim to benefit 6 million students and teachers by 2027. The firm also opened a Gaming Garage Lab at Saudi Electronic University, with courses certified by NeLC and MCIT.

Gaming and Esports Collaboration

HP partnered with Savvy Games Group, Tuwaiq Academy, and HRDF to expand its gaming education programs. These alliances aim to position Saudi Arabia as a global gaming hub while training youth in advanced technologies.

Fadle Saad, HP’s Saudi Managing Director, stated, “AI accessibility and talent development are key to the Kingdom’s success. Our CoE and education initiatives will drive efficiency, innovation, and global competitiveness.”

HP’s investments reinforce Saudi Arabia’s role as a regional innovation powerhouse. By merging local talent with global expertise, the Kingdom advances toward its goal of becoming a top-tier digital economy.
