A team of medical volunteers from KSrelief, the Kingdom’s aid agency, recently completed a successful mission in Yemen’s Aden governorate, performing 25 open-heart surgeries free of charge, according to a report by the Saudi Press Agency on Thursday. The initiative, carried out from March 11 to 18, also included 65 cardiac catheterizations and six transcatheter aortic valve implantations.
The project involved 12 volunteers and was a collaborative effort between KSrelief and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen. This initiative is part of KSrelief’s broader global free medical program, as highlighted in the SPA report.
