Along the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf coastlines, the weather tends to be more moderate. Temperatures are milder, making these areas popular tourist destinations. However, humidity can be high, leading to occasional discomfort.

Harsh Desert Climate

The majority of Saudi Arabia’s landmass is covered by vast desert regions, such as the Rub’ al Khali or the Empty Quarter. These areas experience extremely high daytime temperatures and can become unbearably hot during the summer months, with minimal rainfall.

 Mountainous Terrain

Varied conditions Saudi Arabia also boasts mountainous terrain in its southwestern region, including the Asir Mountains. These areas tend to be cooler, with more rainfall, offering a stark contrast to the desert regions.

Riyadh

Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, often experiences hot and dry weather. Tomorrow’s forecast indicates a high temperature of 40°C (104°F) with clear skies, so be prepared for a scorching day.

Jeddah

Coastal Beauty Jeddah, located on the Red Sea coast, will enjoy a more pleasant climate with a high of  (93°F). It will expect partly cloudy skies and the possibility of a light breeze.

Abha

Mountainous retreat for those in Abha, situated in the Asir Mountains, the weather will be cooler with a high of 24°C (75°F). Cloudy skies may bring some scattered showers, so don’t forget your umbrella.

Eastern Province

In a mixed bag in the Eastern Province, Dammam will experience a high of 37°C (99°F), with clear skies. However, neighboring Khobar might experience slightly warmer temperatures of 39°C (102°F).
