General Climate

Saudi Arabia’s climate is predominantly desert-like, characterized by high daytime temperatures and cooler nights.

However, the southwestern region breaks this pattern with a subtropical highland climate and semi-arid conditions. These variations contribute to the diverse weather patterns observed across the country.

Geography, Its Impact on Climate

The Kingdom’s vast desert terrain is interspersed with some mountainous areas and plains. This geographic diversity plays a significant role in the country’s weather phenomena, including the prevalent haze and dust storms.

Water Resources, Environmental Challenges

Historically, Saudi Arabia had lakes and deep waterholes fed by non-renewable underground aquifers. However, heavy usage for agricultural and domestic purposes has depleted these freshwater sources.

Consequently, the country now heavily relies on desalinated seawater and scarce surface water. Despite these efforts, the Kingdom faces significant environmental challenges such as desertification and the depletion of groundwater resources.

In summary, the weather in Saudi Arabia tomorrow will be clear and warm, reflecting the country’s typical desert climate.
