Kingdom’s Consul General in Alexandria Receives Saudi Informatics Team
The Kingdom’s Consul General in Alexandria, Mazyad Al-Huwaishan, received the Saudi Informatics Team at the launch ceremony of the 36th International Informatics Olympiad 2024, in the Library of Alexandria.
The Consul of the Kingdom urged the students to give their best to win and honor the Kingdom in the international competition. He also praised the team’s past achievements and acknowledged the efforts of the King Abdulaziz “Mawhiba” and its partners in training and preparing the team.

Representing the Kingdom in today’s competitions, which started with an official ceremony at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, are four students: Adeeb Salem Ali Al-Shehri from Eastern Province Education, Ahmed Saleh Al-Hashim from Al-Ahsa Education, Isa Al-Mousa from Al-Ahsa Education, and Saad Al-Busher Al-Arifi from Riyadh Education.
Moreover, these students are showcasing their talents and skills on an international stage, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to excellence in education. Consequently, their participation underscores the significant investment in nurturing young talent and promoting educational achievements.
Saudi Informatics Team
The Saudi national team had completed its external training camp with students in three European countries. After undergoing intensive training in the Kingdom over the past three years. They are preparing to compete in this global event. Furthermore, it includes around 96 countries represented by 364 competitors.
The Kingdom has earned 6 international awards (4 bronze medals and 2 certificates of appreciation) from previous Olympic competitions.
