Ithra Wins King Salman Urban Charter Award for Construction

King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) won the King Salman Urban Charter Award in the Built Projects category at the award’s inaugural ceremony held in Riyadh. The event was organized by the Architecture and Design Arts Commission.

Abdullah Al-Rashed, the center’s director, highlighted that this achievement reflects ongoing efforts to create a building with a unique architectural identity that enriches cultural life in the Kingdom. He noted that the award-winning building stands out for its design. Additionally, it harmonizes with the local environment and uses modern and sustainable materials. The building is also environmentally friendly, incorporating renewable energy technologies and efficient water management.

He stated that the award affirms Ithra’s position as a leading cultural institution that contributes to enhancing the architectural and cultural identity of the Kingdom.
