Israeli Media: Cost of Intercepting Iranian Attack Nears $1 Billion

On Sunday, the cost of intercepting last night’s Iranian attack is close to one billion dollars, according to Israeli media.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that all Israeli warplanes were in the air during the Iranian attack for fear of being bombed while they were at their bases.

Hebrew media, citing sources in the Israeli Ministry of Defense, reported that American and British forces intercepted more than 100 Iranian drones outside Israel.

In turn, the Israeli army had announced earlier today, Sunday, that it had “thwarted” the attack launched by Iran and intercepted “99 percent” of the drones and missiles that were launched.

He said in a statement: “The Iranian attack, as planned by Iran, was thwarted as we intercepted 99 percent of the threats, and this is an important strategic achievement.”

He stated that Tehran launched “an attack against Israel and launched more than 300 threats of various types, including ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missiles,”.
