Islamic Affairs Ministry Hosts Ceremony to Launch Iftar Programs in Ethiopia
The Religious Attaché of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in Ethiopia held an official ceremony to inaugurate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ iftar and date distribution programs.
This initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving Islam and supporting Muslims worldwide, in line with the leadership’s directives to assist Muslim communities during Ramadan.
The event, held in Addis Ababa, was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Ethiopia Dr. Fahad Alhumaydani, President of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council Sheikh Dr. Haji Ibrahim Tufa, as well as several ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Ethiopia.
Sheikh Dr. Tufa expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its dedication to the Islamic world and commended the ministry for initiatives that strengthen ties with Muslims globally, particularly in Ethiopia, which he noted shares a strong relationship with Saudi Arabia.
