North Macedonia: Saudi Arabia Sets Unique Example of Spreading Peace, Islam
The Director of the Religious Committee of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Darian Saterowski, has expressed his happiness over the new cooperative relations with Saudi Arabia, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Saterowski commended the new cooperation between the Islamic Union of Macedonia and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance stressing its significance in boosting the joint Islamic efforts.
This came during the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the union and the ministry to foster the bilateral cooperation in the Islamic affairs.
Held in Skopje, the Macedonian capital, the ceremony marked the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Albania, Faisal bin Ghazi Hifzi, together with several Macedonian senior officials and media representatives.
The MoU was signed by the Acting Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry, Sheikh Dr. Awad bin Sabti Al-Anazi, and President of the Islamic Union of North Macedonia, Mufti Sheikh Hafiz Şakir Efendi Fetahu.
Saterowski praised the Kingdom’s efforts to spread peace, Islamic values, tolerance and coexistence, and confront hatred, terrorism, and extremism.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Anzi emphasized that the Kingdom has a pivotal role in spreading moderation and balance under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
Al-Anzi also stated that Saudi Arabia sets a unique example in adhering to Islamic principles along with other aspects of progress and modernity making it among the advanced countries.
