Saudi Arabia Unfolds New Cooperation of Islamic Affairs with North Macedonia
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Presidency of the Islamic Union of the Republic of North Macedonia to foster the bilateral cooperation in the Islamic affairs, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The MoU was signed by the Acting Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry, Sheikh Dr. Awad bin Sabti Al-Anazi, and President of the Islamic Union of North Macedonia, Mufti Sheikh Hafiz Şakir Efendi Fetahu.
The signing ceremony took place in Skopje, the Macedonian capital, and marked the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Albania, Faisal bin Ghazi Hifzi, together with several Macedonian senior officials and media representatives.
Promising Provisions
The MoU stipulated the following provisions:
- Cooperating in introducing Islam, explaining its virtues and tolerance, and its opinions on contemporary issues
- Exchanging research, books and scientific publications in various languages
- Holding scientific seminars and joint training courses to qualify workers in the field of Islamic affairs and exchanging invitations in this regard
- Organizing joint exhibitions to introduce the true essence of Islam
- Preparing scholars and preachers
- Implement the recommendations and outcomes of the mutual events
- Preparing joint programs for legitimate occasions and exchanging experiences in this regard
- Cooperating in the affairs of mosques, their construction and maintenance
- Training and qualifying mosque staff
- Boosting the bilateral cooperation in serving the Holy Quran and the Sunnah
- Exchanging expertise and information in printing the Holy Quran and translating its meanings and virtues
- Maximizing the visits between both entities
- Saudi Arabia will provide North Macedonia with copies of the publications of the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran
- Enhancing the bilateral invitations to participate in competitions for memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran
This outstanding partnership embodies Saudi Arabia’s noble message to cooperate with all countries to serve Islam and Muslims and spread the true meaning of Islam and reject extremism and radicalism.
