Saudi Arabia Secures Qualification for Junior World Championship for the 5th Time

Saudi Arabia’s junior handball team has qualified for the Men’s Junior World Championship 2025 in Poland, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The qualification came after their victory in the 18th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship held in Amman, Jordan and to be ended in July 25.

The championship was exclusively f or players born in 2004.

Saudi champions secured a remarkable victory over the Oman national team, with a score of 37-23 in the final round of Group 2.

The junior green team snatched the qualification card for the World Championship after reserving its seat in the semi-finals, where it secured the second place in Group 2 of the main round of the tournament.

Furthermore, they beat Oman with a score of (37-23), in the third and final round, along with their victory over Iran in the previous match.

However, they faced a setback in the first round against Japan.

The current qualification is the fifth one in the history of Saudi Arabia after the editions of 1979, 1997, 2017, and 2023.
