French Amb. to Saudi Arabia Greets Muslims on Eid al-Adha

Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid al-Adha from June 16-18, 2024. On this occasion, the French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ludovic Pouille, has extended his warm wishes to the Saudi leaders and all Muslims across the world on Eid al-Adha.

Furthermore, the French Ambassador praised the Kingdom’s efforts in organizing and coordinating Hajj to offer pilgrims a smooth and streamlined experience.

Eid al-Adha Wishes

In a video shared on his X account, Pouille greeted Muslims in Saudi Arabia, France and all around the world, wishing them a happy Eid al-Adha.

He said: “On the ocaasion of Eid al-Adha, I would like to extend my best wishes on his behalf and on behalf of the to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdelaziz Al Saud, to the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to the Saudi institutions, to the friendly Saudi people, and to all Muslims in France and all over the world.”

Facilitating Hajj

The French Ambassador said: “This year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed over 10,000 French pilgrims, who completed the Hajj in the best possible conditions.”

Pouille extended his thanks and gratitude to Saudi Arabia for facilitating Hajj. He said: “I would like to thank the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all the competent and concerned authorities for this wonderful coordination and organization.”

Commitment to Peace

In his message, Pouille stressed France’s commitment to promoting peace across the world amid the ongoing conflicts in many regions.

“On this Eid day, in the light of what the world is currently witnessing, I would like to reiterate France’s commitment to peace and stability in the world, especially in Ukraine and in the Middle East,” he said.

Solid Relations

The French Ambassador underscored the strength of relations between France and Saudi Arabia.

He said: “France will continue to cooperate with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet global challenges. Of course the relations between our two countries are historic and strong and solid and our strategic partnership is growing stronger in all areas to the benefit of our youth.”

Pouille concluded his message by wishing peace and prosperity to all people across the world. “I wish you all a happy Eid al-Adha, with my best wishes for peace and prosperity,” he said.
