The Jadidat Arar border crossing in the Northern Borders region has received more than 20,000 Iraqi pilgrims who arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj 2024, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The crossing has ramped up preparations to welcome Iraqi pilgrims under the supervision of the Governor of the Northern Borders Region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.
Saudi volunteers are currently playing a pivotal role in welcoming the pilgrims and facilitating all hajj procedures.
The spirit of volunteerism has led more than 194 volunteers to step up and assist the elderly, while providing guidance and hospitality in the designated pilgrim city.
The volunteers are affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Northern Border University, the Saudi Red Crescent, the Arar Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.
They are keen to help the pilgrims with entry procedures and basic health-related tasks, such as taking vital signs.
These young men and women expressed their sincere self-fulfillment and satisfaction by helping the guests of Allah.
The participants believe that being in pilgrims’ service teaches them spiritual meanings that strengthen their faith and purify their souls.
