The Heritage Commission launched its heritage events today at the historic Bin Raqoush Palace in Al-Baha. These three-day events are part of a regular series of heritage and cultural activities organized by the Commission.

The authority aims, through this 7-day event, to raise awareness of the Kingdom’s history and heritage, highlight its deep civilization, and showcase efforts in preserving the region’s cultural heritage. The event also celebrates cultural heritage, displays the palace’s treasures, enriches visitors’ experiences, promotes national awareness, preserves the cultural legacy, and maintains the region’s social values.
The event runs from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM and targets local residents and visitors. Additionally, it features a reception and guest welcoming area, a heritage majlis, a deer pavilion, a camel products pavilion, 3D displays, and intangible cultural heritage performances. There will also be an exhibition of World Heritage Sites.
The event attracted many visitors who enjoyed the heritage and experienced its various rituals that evoke the past in all its details. It also included demonstrations of crafts where artisans interacted with the audience, such as textiles, Arabic calligraphy, heritage items, decorations, traditional design styles, and other crafts of the people of Al-Baha.
