‘Global Harmony 2’ Initiative Celebrates Levantine Culture in Riyadh
The Levantine culture is on display at Al-Suwaidi Park in Riyadh, as part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative.
The event, organized by the Saudi Media Ministry in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has attracted thousands of audiences from the Levantine community, as well as citizens and residents of other nationalities.
The three-day event showcases the cultures of Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Lebanon through interactive activities, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
On its second day, the event displayed models of the Levantine culture, engaging audiences in a vibrant atmosphere featuring folkloric zaffeh and dabkeh dance, in addition to popular performances and cultural shows.
Furthermore, the cultural event included a captivating circus show and artistic performances which appealed to the crowds. It also featured cultural and heritage booths highlighting the culture of the Levant by displaying traditional clothing, folk arts, and cuisine.

The event’s activities attracted a large number of visitors, who expressed their appreciation to Saudi Arabia for hosting the initiative which gave them the opportunity to connect with and celebrate their cultural heritage.
The Levant Culture event is part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, during which Al-Suwaidi Park showcases 14 global cultures, including India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Ethiopia.
The initiative – one of the Quality of Life Program’s projects under Vision 2030 – aims to promote understanding and exchange among communities by highlighting the lives of expatriates in Saudi Arabia.
It showcases various aspects of their lives such as their professional and family lives, their social and recreational activities, their contribution to the Kingdom’s economy, and their success stories.
