General Authority for Expos, Conferences Participates at WTM 2023
The General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences participated at the The World Travel Market (WTM) 2023. This participation aimed to bolster the international presence of Saudi Arabia in the exhibitions and conferences sector.
Saudi Arabia’s Participation
The WTM 2023 is a significant event in the global tourism and travel sector, taking place in London from November 6 to 8.
The event hosts 5,000 exhibitors from 182 countries and sees participation from over 51,000 individuals. It presents an arena for countries and organizations to showcase their offerings, exchange knowledge with experts from around the world, and forge international connections. By engaging in knowledge exchange with global experts and enthusiasts, the effort is to elevate the sector to new heights.
The Acting CEO of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Amjad Shaker, elaborated that this initiative is part of the Authority’s endeavors to align with relevant entities from both private and public sectors within the Kingdom.
The goal is to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and sign several cooperation agreements aimed at overall sector development. It will also simplify the processes for organizing exhibitions and conferences, thus positioning Saudi Arabia as a top destination for business events.
The participation of the General Authority for Exhibitions is also seen as an opportunity to strengthen the Authority’s relations with global media outlets, market Saudi Arabia, and attract investors from all over the world to the sector.
Through such international platforms, Saudi Arabia aims to put itself on the map as a significant player in the global exhibitions and conferences arena, aligning with its broader vision of boosting its global standing and attracting international investments.
