Saudi Health Min., VitalAire Collaborate to Establish Diabetes Care Center
The center is set to support about 6,000 patients living with Type 1 diabetes, focusing on the development of individualized care plans to improve patients’ health outcomes and quality of life in a more cost-effective manner.
The collaboration reflects a broader commitment to advancing diabetes care and treatment, aligning with the Kingdom’s transformational healthcare goals under Saudi Vision 2030.
Jalel Gatti, VitalAire’s Vice President for Business Development in the Africa, Middle East, emphasized the shared dedication to delivering patient-focused healthcare solutions, aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those living with intensive insulin-treated diabetes in Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, the significance of this initiative is further underscored by the alarming diabetes prevalence in Saudi Arabia, which is ranked second highest in the Middle East and seventh worldwide for the rate of diabetes, with an estimated 7 million diabetics and nearly 3 million individuals with pre-diabetes in the country.
By partnering with VitalAire Arabia, an international healthcare company with over 25 years of experience in providing at-home services for people living with diabetes, the Health Ministry aims to elevate the standard of care for diabetes patients, fostering a patient-centric approach to managing this chronic condition.
