Saudi tourist destinations leave remarkable sign in the international ranks
The Saudi Tourism Authority participated in the Arab Travel Market exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Center, one of the most essential and prominent global events in the Travel & Tourism sector in the Middle East region.
The official spokesman of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Abdullah Al-Dakhil, said to Al-Arabiya.net: “The Saudi presence at the exhibition was very remarkable, and Saudi tourism today has presented the world with a new and unique tourism model in the 21st century.”
AL-Dakhil celebrated several achievements during the event; Saudi Arabia shone as one of the most important tourist destinations globally, with tremendous potentials for investment opportunities. The authority conducted nearly 900 bilateral meetings and concluded many agreements and quality partnerships with major regional and prestigious companies.
Al-Dakhil added: “A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Saudi Tourism Authority and the leading Indian Travel Agency on the Internet (TBO) to promote and introduce Saudi tourist destinations through its platforms. Additionally, a joint marketing agreement was signed with a world-leading hotel beds company, which includes more than 180 thousand tourism agencies”.
“Many memorandums of understanding, agreements, and partnerships have been concluded between Saudi and international companies in various fields, including an agreement to establish a comprehensive digital reservation platform for Saudi tourism service providers”, he continued.
Moreover, the authority also announced at least seven new hotels and a mutual loyalty agreement between Saudi Arabian Airlines, Etihad Airways, and others.
The Arab Travel Market exhibition counts with the most prominent local, regional, and international specialists in the Travel & Tourism sector. It was launched on 16 May, the first event of its magnitude since the coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
