Gemini Rains Enchant Aseer as Fog Embraces Highlands

As the Gemini period ushers in the height of summer, gentle rains have begun to grace the Aseer Region, captivating visitors and showcasing the area’s distinctive climate.

Early showers over the highlands have marked the start of a season rich in natural beauty. Gray clouds and soft, rolling fog cloaked the mountain peaks, creating serene, dreamlike landscapes that embody nature’s quiet allure.

Tourists and holidaymakers have been drawn to Abha and its charming surrounding areas—Al-Soudah, Ballahmar, Balsamar, Tanumah, and Al-Namas—to immerse themselves in the romance of rainfall, the mystique of fog, and the refreshing scent of dew-covered mountains. Hilltop cafés, forest parks, and scenic overlooks have seen a surge in visitors, many of whom enjoy sipping hot drinks under cloudy skies.

Despite the summer season, Aseer experiences notably mild weather, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 28°C, humidity around 19%, and occasional rainfall averaging 20%. Light breezes, between 5 and 11 km/h, add to the region’s refreshing atmosphere.

This early arrival of rain bodes well for the tourism season, reinforcing Aseer’s reputation as one of Saudi Arabia’s top summer destinations. With its cool climate, stunning vistas, and rich cultural backdrop, Aseer continues to offer unforgettable experiences for locals, residents, and international travelers alike.
