GCC Secretary General, Vietnamese PM Discuss Enhanced Cooperation
Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, convened today on the sidelines of the 55th annual World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between the two sides.
Their discussions centered on the forthcoming second GCC-ASEAN Summit, emphasizing economic and cultural partnerships, as well as fostering closer ties between their peoples to advance shared objectives. The meeting also reviewed Gulf-Vietnamese relations, with a focus on identifying opportunities to deepen cooperation in pursuit of mutual goals.
Both leaders highlighted the potential benefits of a free trade agreement and exchanged views on regional and global developments.
In closing, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended an official invitation to Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi to visit Vietnam in the near future, underscoring the commitment to further strengthening their bilateral relationship.
