Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and Dr. Jean-Marc Thouvenin, Secretary-General of The Hague Academy of International Law, signed a new training agreement yesterday. The agreement establishes an intensive training program scheduled for November, titled “Economic Aspects in the Integration and Interconnection of Justice, Legislation, and Judiciary.”
Albudaiwi praised The Hague Academy as a leading global institution in legal education and research. He highlighted its vital role in offering specialized training and academic programs across various legal fields and recognized its importance as a hub for cross-cultural and inter-system legal dialogue.
He also noted that the program is tailored for professionals from GCC countries’ Ministries of Economy, Planning, and Justice, as well as Departments of Fatwa and Legislation. Participants will explore the experiences of regional blocs such as the European Union, African Union, ASEAN, and Latin American nations. The training will be led by prominent academic experts from internationally renowned universities.
