Foreign Minister: Kingdom Pledges Stronger Global Cooperation on Economic Challenges
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that through its participation in the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos under the theme “Values of Dialogue,” the Kingdom demonstrates its deep commitment to strengthening international cooperation to confront global economic challenges, while emphasizing the necessity of maintaining regional peace and stability, supporting sustainable development, and enhancing global economic partnerships.
Global Cooperation
The Foreign Minister explained that “the Kingdom believes in the importance of cooperation between government institutions and the private sector in order to achieve sustainable development that ensures well-being and security for all,” noting that the Kingdom will continue its efforts to broaden horizons of joint cooperation with various international partners, in a manner that enhances the ability to face economic and environmental challenges.
His Highness noted that “the Kingdom considers the Davos 2026 Forum an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation in several key areas, including supporting the building of institutional and human capacities, which are among the fundamental pillars enabling countries to adapt to rapid economic transformations.”
He added that the Kingdom seeks to develop innovative solutions in the fields of technology and scientific research, with a focus on developing new business models. The models will contribute to increasing competitiveness and providing new investment opportunities, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which promotes innovation as a driver of economic growth.
Concluding his statements to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that Davos 2026 represents an important opportunity to discuss ways to enhance international cooperation in vital areas such as innovation, digital transformation, energy, trade, and support for developing countries, thereby contributing to building a more sustainable and equitable global economy.
