DCO Highlights Need for Global Cooperation to Enable Digital Prosperity

The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) highlighted the importance of global collaboration in enabling digital prosperity during a panel session at the MENA ICT 2024 Forum held in Jordan.

The organization’s participation in the event, hosted at the Dead Sea, included an investor roundtable, startup presentations. The Secretary-General of the DCO, Deemah AlYahya, emphasized the significance of multilateral cooperation to achieve a fair digital future, ensuring every country, company, and individual has an equal opportunity to thrive in the digital economy.

The session, moderated by Karim Kawar, Chairman of the Kawar Group, focused on the immense opportunities and challenges facing the MENA region, the critical role of digital infrastructure and the need to bolster the digital economy to drive innovation and growth.

The Digital Cooperation Organization hosted 15 innovative startups at the forum as part of the “Dealzone” initiative. Their participation garnered significant attention with a visit from Prince Omar bin Faisal, President of the Jordanian Esports Federation.

The startups, representing diverse sectors such as healthcare, e-commerce, gaming, business management, fintech, AI and real estate showcased their pioneering solutions, networked with investors, and participated in key discussions at the Digital Cooperation Organization’s pavilion. Additionally, partnership agreements were signed between several startups, and three startups received investment proposals and offers from investors.

Dealzone Initiative

 

(DCO) also hosted 15 innovative startups at the forum as part of the Dealzone initiative, and their participation received prominent attention through the visit of the President of the Jordanian Electronic Sports Federation,  Prince Omar bin Faisal.

Startups from multiple sectors, such as: healthcare, e-commerce, gaming, business management, financial technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, real estate, and educational technology, showcased their pioneering solutions and reached out to investors.

It participated in key discussions at the Digital Cooperation Organization’s pavilion, partnership agreements were signed between several startup companies. Additionally, three startup companies received investment proposals and offers from investors.

MENA ICT 2024 Forum

The Digital Cooperation Organization was awarded the “Partners” Award at the MENA ICT 2024 Forum, which reflects its outstanding collaborative efforts in supporting emerging companies.

A Special Recognition Award was also given to the Nigerian company Hadiya supported by the Digital Cooperation Organization.
