
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, met with Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Yerlan Akkenzhenov, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was held in connection with the establishment of the Saudi–Kazakh Coordination Council. The Council will be co-chaired by the Saudi Minister of Energy and the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs, underscoring both nations’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and broadening their bilateral partnership.

Following the discussions, Prince Abdulaziz and Minister Kosherbayev signed an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to formally establish the Saudi–Kazakh Coordination Council, in the presence of Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy.
The Council is intended to enhance coordination and consultation between the two countries and to develop structured frameworks for cooperation across key sectors of mutual interest, supporting the advancement of bilateral relations to new levels.
Talks also covered the overall relationship between Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, with particular focus on expanding collaboration in the energy sector, including renewable energy and energy storage, as well as promoting investment opportunities.
Finally, the meeting concluded with a review of developments in the global oil market as part of the ongoing energy dialogue between the two countries.
