Red Sea Global (RSG) has redefined Saudi Arabia’s tourism landscape by unveiling “Adrena,” a cutting-edge adventure and leisure zone. This new destination sets a high benchmark for excitement and exploration within the Saudi Arabian hospitality sector. The developer confirmed that Adrena will officially welcome the public on 1 March, following an exclusive soft launch starting 15 February.
Strategically located near the iconic Shura Island, Adrena serves both domestic visitors and international guests staying at The Red Sea destination. The zone offers an extensive array of high-octane activities, including surfing, water skiing, cliff jumping, and skateboarding. Consequently, these features position the site as a premier attraction for global thrill-seekers and local enthusiasts alike.
Furthermore, this project strengthens Saudi Arabia’s presence on the international adventure tourism map through a unique qualitative addition. It provides a vibrant social space that caters specifically to younger generations who crave immersive and authentic environmental experiences. Guests can now explore the stunning interplay between sea and land from a completely fresh and daring perspective.
Sustainability Meets High Excitement
John Pagano, the Chief Executive Officer of Red Sea Global, emphasized the harmony between thrill and environmental stewardship during the launch. “We created a space where adrenaline merges with natural beauty while we fully preserve that precious environment,” Pagano stated, noting that sustainability remains the core of every experience, ensuring that RSG meets its commitment to both people and nature.
Red Sea Sports and Entertainment Company will manage the daily operations of this sprawling adventure complex. The operator utilizes the expertise of its specialized brands: WAMA for water sports, Galaxea for diving, and Akun for land adventures. This collaborative management structure ensures that every guest receives professional guidance while exploring the diverse facilities available at the park.
Pioneering Facilities and Attractions
Adrena introduces several record-breaking features, most notably a 215-meter seawater wave pool, the largest of its kind in the Kingdom. Advanced technology allows the pool to simulate natural wave motions with heights reaching up to 2.1 meters for all surfers. Therefore, the facility accommodates everyone from complete beginners to professional athletes looking for a consistent and challenging training environment.
In addition to the wave pool, the destination boasts a water-skiing lagoon and a six-meter-deep specialized diving pool. The site also includes a skate plaza, a BMX track, beach sports courts, and a thrilling zipline over the water. Adventurous visitors may also enjoy aerial sliding and flying experiences that reach a height of ten meters above the ground.
The architectural design of Adrena reflects the developer’s rigid commitment to responsible development and a very low environmental footprint. The facility utilizes advanced seawater treatment and recycling technologies to maintain its various pools and water-based attractions. Additionally, the project uses freshwater exclusively for irrigation purposes to ensure the preservation of the Kingdom’s vital natural water resources.
