Diriyah Season Launched under Slogan “Land Narrates You”
The Diriyah Company announced the launching of the exceptional edition of Diriyah Season 2023-2024 in December 2023, under the slogan “Land Narrates You”, with a new cultural and entertainment facet.
It includes a huge calendar of diverse entertainment, cultural, and artistic events, continuing until March 2024.
Theme Significance
The slogan “Land Narrates You” reflects the various storytelling and heroic events that will be narrated to visitors, telling the tale of a strong nation with a rich legacy based on security, stability, culture, ancient history, and a cohesive society.
Celebrating Diriyah
The third edition of the Diriyah Season is a unique celebration fitting the unique story of this land “Diriyah”, igniting cultural curiosity among visitors from within and outside the Kingdom, through its beauty, nature, and exceptional history.
This year’s season will include many surprises, quality experiences, and revitalization of various areas around Diriyah like gardens, Al Bujairi overlook, and the historical At-Turaif district listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage list.
Event Highlights
This year’s events include musical and theatrical performances rich in intellectual and cultural content, art exhibitions, cultural film screenings, cooking experiences, the anticipated Diriyah E-Prix organized by the Ministry of Sports, and various outdoor activities.
The activities are: like horse riding, camping, star-gazing,
“Diriyah Nights” featuring a collection of restaurants at Al Bujairi overlook, offering the finest and latest dining destinations, amidst vibrant atmospheres with enchanting views over Wadi Hanifa and the historical At-Turaif district.
Tourism Expansion
The Minister of Tourism and General Secretary and Board member of Diriyah Company, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, mentioned that with the Kingdom’s expansion in tourism offerings, tremendous possibilities that this sector provides are being unleashed, with a significant focus on highlighting authenticity and heritage in tourism.
The aim for this year’s Diriyah Season is to activate many cultural and heritage events that will enhance the understanding of Saudi Arabia’s unique hospitality, traditions, and support for various tourism programs.
CEO Remarks
The CEO of the Diriyah Group, Jerry Inzerillo, commented that this year’s season is characterized by cultural experiences and live shows focusing on highlighting the heritage and culture that the Kingdom is known for, as Diriyah is one of the most important cultural sites in the Kingdom.
This will play a significant and prominent role in intensifying cultural programs and events.
