Diriyah’s First Hotel Set to Open Doors
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) is on the verge of a significant milestone with the opening of its first hotel, the Samhan Heritage Hotel, scheduled for the end of December. This unveiling is part of a grander vision aimed at welcoming 27 million visitors by the year 2030.
A Look Into the Samhan Heritage Hotel
The forthcoming Samhan Heritage Hotel will feature 141 rooms, setting a high standard for hospitality in the region. This opening is a precursor to a larger influx of international hotel brands within the Diriyah project, with names such as Four Seasons and Oberoi already on board.
Broadening Horizons: The Diriyah Project
The ambitious Diriyah project, estimated at $63 billion, showcases a blend of heritage and modernity. Envisioned to include up to 42 hotels, 30,000 homes, nine museums, 100 restaurants, and a golf course, this project underscores Saudi Arabia’s endeavor to become a global tourism hub.
Attracting Global Visitors
With an annual target of 27 million visitors by 2030, the Diriyah project is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism goals. This target aligns with the nation’s Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy and reduce its dependence on oil revenues.
The unveiling of the Samhan Heritage Hotel is more than just a milestone for the DGDA; it’s a step forward towards achieving Saudi Arabia’s long-term tourism objectives. As doors open to visitors, the world will get a glimpse of the rich cultural tapestry and modern luxuries that Diriyah has to offer.
