Crown Princes of Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi Discuss Joint Cooperation

The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, met on Wednesday with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During the meeting, both Crown Princes reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and the UAE and explored areas of joint cooperation. Moreover, they discussed several issues of common interest.

The Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, also attended the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the GCC-US Summit.

According to Abu Dhabi Media Office, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields to advance the mutual interests of both countries and their people.

Furthermore, the Saudi and Abu Dhabi Crown Princes exchanged views on several regional and international issues. They reaffirmed the importance of bolstering Gulf efforts to address challenges in order to boost regional stability and support continued development and prosperity.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan led the UAE delegation to the GCC-US Summit in Riyadh, which brought together the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the US President, Donald Trump.

The Saudi Crown Prince co-chaired the Summit alongside Trump. During his opening address, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the depth of the Gulf-US relations, adding that the Summit underscores the commitment to continued cooperation and coordination on regional and international issues in order to establish peace, security and stability across the region and the world.

Furthermore, the Saudi Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom and GCC’s commitment to peaceful solutions to conflicts adding:  “We stress our support for ending conflicts through peaceful means.”
