Crown Prince, U.S. President, Syrian President Discuss Syria’s Future

At the kind invitation of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, a meeting was held in Riyadh on the morning of Wednesday (16/11/1446 ), corresponding to (May 14, 2025), between His Royal Highness and the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald J. Trump, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (participating via phone call), and the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmad Al-Shara’.

The meeting addressed the future of the situation in Syria and emphasized the importance of its stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as achieving security and prosperity for the Syrian people. The discussions also included regional developments and the importance of working towards suitable solutions for them.

President Ahmad Al-Shara’ expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the decision of President Donald Trump to lift sanctions on Syria, noting that this decision would open a new chapter for enabling the reconstruction of Syria, revitalizing its economy, and contributing to the achievement of security and stability within the country. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Turkey for their efforts in supporting Syria and advocating for the lifting of sanctions.
