Cambodia Welcomes Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque during Four-day Visit
Cambodian Senior Minister In-Charge of Special Missions Dr. Osman Hussein warmly welcomed the imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleelah, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Wednesday, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
This meeting represents the beginning of Sheikh Baleelah’s official four-day visit to Cambodia, under the umbrella of the visits program by the imams of the Two Holy Mosques organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
The Cambodian minister started the meeting by highlighting Saudi Arabia’s unparalleled efforts to serve Islam and Muslims and to spread the approach of moderation under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman.
Hussein also emphasized the need of the Cambodian Islamic community to adapt this approach because it is one of the strongest pillars of the real essence of Islamic religion.
Baleelah started the meeting by conveying the greetings of the Saudi leadership to the Cambodian government and people, wishing them further progress and prosperity.
In the same context, Baleelah stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to serving Muslims around the world and promoting the bilateral Saudi-Cambodian relations to achieve the common interests of the two Kingdoms.
The Imam also indicated that Saudi Arabia is the leading country of the Islamic world as it boasts the Two Holy Mosques and passionately serve their visitors, including pilgrims and Umrah performers.
He mentioned the recent and new developments in the holy sites to provide a smooth and comfortable journey for the guests of Allah.
