Blinken vows ‘collective response’ to Iran attack on tanker with Israel ties
The United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken vowed a “collective response” with its allies to Iran after an attack that killed two people and targeted an oil tanker operated by an Israeli businessman in the Sea of Oman.
Blinken renewed the accusation of Iran of targeting the tanker operated by Israel off Oman.
“With the United Kingdom, Israel, Romania, and other nations, we maintain constant communication and coordination. The reaction would be a group effort “According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Iran denied involvement in the attack.
On Sunday, he said that Washington had no doubts that Iran had carried out the attack on the Israeli ship off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman, pledging an “appropriate response.”
Blinken is not the first to slam attack
This called on Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz to take action against Tehran, and said: “Iranian aggression in the region in general and on the naval front in particular, is escalating.”
The attack on an Israeli-owned oil tanker off the coast of Oman, last Thursday, killed two of the ship’s crew, a Roman and a Briton.
UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab on Sunday accused Iran of being responsible for the “deliberate and targeted” attack on an oil tanker linked to Israel off the Sea of Oman.
