Crown Prince announces Saudi Arabia’s donation of $3 million to support the Global Partnership Strategy for Education

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense stressed the importance of concerted efforts in supporting international initiatives and programs that would enhance the economics of education.

He also supports educational systems in the beneficiary countries to provide high-quality educational services for those who are urgently needed, in time of the crisis of the Coronavirus pandemic, whose effects still pose a major challenge to many education systems around the world.

This came in a speech delivered by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, at the World Education Summit “Financing Partnership for Education 2021-2025” held in the United Kingdom, during which he announced the Kingdom’s donation of three million dollars to support Global Partnership for Education Strategy 2025.

He thanked the Global Partnership for Education and commended its Chairman, Ms. Julia Gillard, and all partners in this leading global organization for the great efforts to provide high-quality education for all children, boys, and girls around the world, and for their tireless efforts to improve access to education.

Education is a major component of the Kingdom’s vision 2030, and the Kingdom is the largest supporter For regional financial institutions such as the Islamic Development Bank, the OPEC Fund (OFID), and the Arab Development Bank in Africa, which provide support to many countries of the world by financing projects and initiatives in various vital fields, especially the field of education.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated (3) three million dollars to support the Global Partnership Strategy for Education 2025 and to reiterate that the Kingdom will always remain at the head of the countries contributing to everything that would achieve development, prosperity, and peace for the peoples of the world as a whole” the Minister of Education said.
