Asateer Future’s Folktales: Saudi Anime Premiere Receives Recognition in Tokyo
Manga Productions, a subsidiary company of Mohammed bin Salman “MiSK” Foundation, has celebrated a new milestone in Japan by premiering the second season of the anime series “Asateer: Future’s Folktales” in Tokyo.
The premiere attracted an array of Japanese companies’ representatives, as well as Japanese media personalities and Arab ambassadors to Japan, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
“Asateer: Future’s Folktales” impressed the premiere’s guests, as they watched it with great admiration. The premiere also received wide media coverage in Japan, with prominent programs, such as World Business Satellite, dedicating a special segment to the event.
On this occasion, the CEO of Manga Productions, Essam Bukhary, said: “We are delighted to share our inspiring Arabian stories and culture with Japan and the world. This work reflects our rich heritage in a distinctive and professional manner.”
Meanwhile, the Executive Advisor at Toei Animation, Shinji Shimizu, showed his appreciation for this collaboration between Toei Animation and Manga Productions. He expressed his excitement for the completion of this joint project, hoping that it would prompt people worldwide to watch Arabian folktales.
The Arab World can watch second season of “Asateer: Future’s Folktales” on MBC1 and Shahid platform in the MENA region every Friday at 5 pm (KSA time), starting from November 1, 2024.
In Japan, it will debut on TV Tokyo each Sunday at 7 am (Japan time), starting from November 3, 2024, to allow audiences across various regions to watch this incredible anime.
This global reach further promotes the Arab content worldwide and underscores Manga Productions’ commitment to showcasing Saudi culture and creativity to the whole world.
