In celebration of 2025 the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia, Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is supporting a variety of events in both countries to commemorate the relationship between the two nations.
On Monday, Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released guidelines for the celebratory events it will oversee next year. These events will promote mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in areas such as culture, sports, tourism, and science. The events mainly take place during or close to 2025.
A commemorative logo has been unveiled, blending a palm tree and cherry blossoms, symbols of Saudi Arabia and Japan, respectively.
Anyone wishing to organize an event can obtain further information from the Second Middle East Division of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia, or Consulate-General in Jeddah.
Once the event is approved, organizers can feature the official logo on their websites, social media, and other promotional materials.
